I Am An Experienced Musician
If you're an experienced musician, you will probably be interested in our Master's Program!
If you wanna be a rock and roll star and you're already on the road to glory, the Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp Master's Program
(tm) can help propel that journey even further.
Here's how it works: On the first day of camp, we'll hold Master's Program auditions for new campers who want to take the more rigorous rock-camp route. Based on your performance you'll be placed in a band with musicians with comparable, compatible talent and a Rockstar camp counselor who will serve you best. (If you can't make it to the audition, send us a video showing you doing your rock thing.). Returning campers, take note: there's no need to do an audition -- we'll place you according to your past performances (but you are welcome to send us a video clip if you feel you've grown significantly since camp)!
We've had past campers go on to open for The Who
, while others have performed with Roger Daltrey
and Eddie Vedder
on stage (see the video on our Master's Program
page). In 2006, recording star Diana Birch appeared on a RRFC TV documentary on the TLC channel, which helped propel her recording career.
"You know that for me the best part of any camp is the opportunity to play at a high level with professional (or excellent amateur) musicians and I had more opportunities to do that than I could have hoped for! Robby Krieger even asked for my contact information in case The Doors needed a keyboardist for upcoming shows! I wrote you after my first camp: 'This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I hope to experience several times in my life.' Thanks for making it possible for me." - Barry R. (8 time camper)

I want to Improve Musically
Playing with professional rock stars for over ten hours a day will no doubt improve your skills as a musician. Our rock stars are not only great performers, but amazing teachers. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with our rock stars and participate in informative and exciting master classes. The fact that you'll be spending over 50 hours with your instrument, performing in a band, and getting instruction from the best ensures that you will go home a better player. One of our past campers even quit his day job to attend the London School of Drumming, and has gone on to be a professional musician.
"Roger Daltrey, Mark Hudson, and the rest of the crew have given me so much more confidence in myself and my music. I feel that I am leaving a better musician. This is the experience of a lifetime. I'm definitely going for my master's degree in music education now. I can't wait to come back." -John R.

I have no musical experience
Some campers have never played an instrument before coming to RRFC while others have only taken a handful of musical lessons before arriving. Our Rockstars are not only great performers, but amazing teachers. At camp, you will work closely with our Rockstars and participate in daily master classes! At our LONDON Camp in 2007, counselor Spike Edney (Queen), had a band of beginners that ended up winning the best band at the final battle of the bands show! It's astounding how far a band can come over the course of 5 days...
Assembling a Rock band is no different than fielding an NFL team. The great coaches win year after year because they create a successful team
. A good band is good not because of how talented each individual is, but rather how well its individual members can work together.
We've had campers sign up for camp to play tambourine and sing backup vocals! No matter how much or little experience you have, you will have the experience of a lifetime!
"Just a note to thank you for Creating RRFC. Before last week, I only had 6 lessons on my bass, an instrument I've just picked up later in life (mid 40's). I've never played anything until now. I had never played a full song, never played with any other players. Shoot, I'd never even stood up to play my bass. I had no music experience (outside of those 6 lessons) what so ever until RRFC, yet Sunday night I was able to play on stage at a Hollywood landmark, the Whisky, with a full band and some of my rock heroes. Much of this I owe to Bruce. Although a tough teacher, he was successful at getting us ready for the show in only 5 days. This was amazing, considering most of my band mates from 'Spayed and Nuetered' (a tip to Bruce's teaching style) had never played with a group either. Our Drummer had only alone played to cds in his garage.

It's been a week and I'm just coming down from the experience. Now I see why so many campers are returnees!" - Angela B.
The Recording Studio Experience
There is no place greater to record than Abbey Road Studios
in London. Abbey Road was the Beatles recording home, where Pink Floyd recorded Dark Side of the Moon, and is the home of the Sundance show Live From Abbey Road
. London campers spend 3 plus days at the legendary studios, where they work with the finest engineers in the industry! Campers will record in studio 2, where The Beatles recorded all of their hits. Play on John Lennon's piano, eat in the cafeteria next to Jeff Beck, Sir George Martin, and or Slash, or whomever might be recording their album that day.
At our Hollywood camps, attendees record at EastWest Studios with legendary engineer Eddie Kramer!
Eddie Kramer has worked with the biggest names in rock and roll including The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin, and is considered a living legend amongst producers and engineers.
"Being in Abbey Road Studios was the most amazing thing to me. Being able to say that I have recorded at Abbey Road is almost surrealistic. Personally, to be able to play with my counselor, Jamie Moses, was a real thrill. He was a great counselor and in such a short time, I have learned a ton. Spending time with Jack Bruce, Bill Wyman, Gary Brooker, Randy Bachman, Paul Carrack and Jon Lord - totally speechless... All in all, this experience rates right up there with the best in my life so far." -Bill M. (4 time camper)

"I had a fantastic time at Capitol studios recording with Eddie Kramer. It was apparent why he's considered the best. I'm really looking forward to hearing our song (the drum parts that Danny Seraphine helped us work out should be pretty cool) There were so many other memories that I just can't list them all. It's amazing that you can pack that much fun in 5 days.....it's truly non stop." -Joe C., (2 time camper)

"I wanted to reach out and let you know what an incredible experience I had over the past week. As you know, this came as a complete surprise given that I learned of this on Wednesday at 1pm. I had no idea what my wife was getting me into. I must congratulate you on an amazing concept. It seemed that everyone was there for a common purpose - the passion for making music (and spending quality time with rock legends at the same time). I also found it interesting that the campers were a diverse group -from the founder of Oracle to a salesman from Canada. I did not meet anyone who wasn't blown away by their experience.
All of the counselors were fantastic and certainly were not "caught up" in their own celebrity. Slim Jim (our counselor) was down to earth and very easy to be with. I became friendly with Rudy Sarzo, who is probably one of the nicest guys to ever play heavy metal. Obviously, jamming with Steven Tyler, Duff McKagan and Todd Rundgren were highlights, and recording at Capitol Records and jamming at the Whisky (hurry up with the CD and DVD!!!) were moments that will last a lifetime. Your staff was exceptional, warm and very accommodating.
I hadn't picked up my electric guitar in over 10 years and had only fiddled around with my acoustic once every few months. But after this week, I feel like music is flowing through my veins again like a Keith Richards transfusion. Thank you for creating an experience that I will never forget." - Glenn M.
"I didn't get a chance to tell you before, but I wanted to say thank you for everything. Mark had an absolutely AMAZING time. He works so hard for our family and this was a gift for him from me. He is still beaming from everything he learned and everyone he met. Rami is a fabulous counselor!! Mark had an absolute blast. I can't say enough great things..." - Jill G.

Meet and Work with Industry Professionals
At Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp, we are constantly hearing from our campers about the many friendships and connections they've made through camp. Our campers stay in touch with all members of their band - including their Rock star counselor. Recently, Rock star counselor Mark Slaughter, hosted one of his RRFC camper bands at a concert and invited them to perform with him during the final song in his set. Roger Daltrey told me he enjoyed backstage visits with many past campers during his recent solo tour.
I just wanted to take moment and write you a note about this year's LA camp. Bravo! Teddy is a natural born counselor, because he loves people, is funny, unbelievably talented, and is aptly named, because he is a big teddy bear. He takes away the fear of failure. That's a very important thing if you want to realize your fantasy. You will never make a mistake by including him in your counselor staff. I love Spike Edney. He's going to be great in London. And Paul Stanley is a class act, all the way. He has single handedly made me a KISS fan. He treated us like rock stars, and performed as though he felt honored to be playing with us. So, to put it succinctly, good job, good job, good job. - Debbie R
"Once again it was a thrill of a lifetime to go to another camp- they keep just getting better. Steven Tyler, Duff McKagan, Todd Rundgren - absolutely mind blowing. It was such a thrill to meet and play with them - WOW My counselor was Danny Seraphine - what a great person. He is a great musician - so much positive energy. All the other counselors were also spectacular - just a word on Rudy Sarzo - what a nice person and great musician. Steve Lukather - what can you say - WOW, WOW can he play. And Mark Farner - is he really 16 years old - so much energy!! My band mates were out of this world - this made the experience even more pristine. I would play with this group anywhere. Recording at Capital records with Eddie Kramer - what an experience - we even recorded one of my songs. All in all, I must say what a spectacular job you and your staff do with these camps - just keeps me wanting to come back for more. - Jon W.
I Want to Play a Show with Rock Stars
What could better complete the rock n roll experience, than a live performance on stage at a famous music venue with rock stars? Campers perform at a venue like the Whisky A Go Go, The Cavern in Liverpool, or The House of Blues. Rock out on the same stage where legends have played, with hundreds of fans screaming for you! Add in playing with a major rock star like Roger Daltrey, Paul Stanley, Todd Rundgren, Robbie Krieger,
or Ace Frehley
and you have a once in a lifetime experience! Plus when it's all over you will receive a professional DVD of your performance for you to cherish and show off for the rest of your life.
"My wife and kids arrived in Los Angeles the night before our House of Blues performance to attend the show. When I first saw them, my 16 year old daughter, Emma, made the comment: "I have never seen Dad so happy." She was absolutely right...it was emotional...I was living my dream. I can't say enough great things about Kip Winger, my band's counselor, or my band mates. They are all very special people that made my Camp experience complete. Was the Camp worth it? To say "ABSOLUTELY" would be an understatement. It was the best investment I have ever made. When I returned to my office, I overheard my staff saying "We have never seen him so relaxed... look at his energy...he needs to go back to that camp more often!" I definitely will. - Alan D.
"Although I meet lots of legends as the editor of a major music magazine, I was giddy as a kid on his first trip to Disneyland as I stood onstage with Roger Daltrey, belting out the background vocals to "I Can See For Miles" as he stood inches away singing lead. A fantasy? Duh. It was still one of the most thrilling "my life doesn't suck" moments I've ever experienced." - Michael M.
"I just wanted to say thanks and to tell you what an awesome time I had at the 3-1/2 day camp. Everyone was so great from the counselors down to the staff. I am a huge KISS fan and it was a thrill to jam with Bruce Kulick and of course with the man himself Ace Frehley. Ace signed some things for me and was very gracious. What a thrill to jam with him onstage at the Whisky! To play on stage in a band with Ace was truly a dream come true." - Kevin K.
