Born in NYC and currently residing in Connecticut, James “Fuzz” Sangiovanni has been a successful international recording and touring artist, educator, songwriter, composer, producer, and musical director for over twenty-five years. You may have seen him out in the world somewhere on stage playing guitar and singing with one of his many bands such as Deep Banana Blackout, Caravan of Thieves, or The Tom Tom Club, or perhaps sharing the stage with other artists such as The Allman Brothers, John Scofield, KebMo, Emmylou Harris, Bela Fleck, Phish or the James Brown band. Or perhaps doing classroom workshops, lectures or community enrichment programs at your local university or public school. As a multi-instrumentalist, Fuzz has been both a performer and educator on a wide range of instruments including guitar, bass, piano, drums, voice ukulele, as well as a record producer, audio engineer and session musician. He has released thirteen of his own albums as well as performed on and produced records from many other artists over the years.
