New York City born drummer Angie Scarpa landed her first major recording contract when she was still in school. Relocating to Los Angeles she played and recorded with many of the bands that created the original Silver Lake music scene. She is perhaps best known as the founder of Black Sabbitch, The All Female Black Sabbath, with whom she continues to tour internationally and lead from behind the kit. Her heavy hitting swing style makes her a perfect fit for Bill Ward’s groundbreaking drum parts, gaining her the respect of critics, fans and fellow musicians, counting some of rock’s most well known drummers as her fans. When not playing drums, she is an in demand video director and currently directs the live performance series for highly influential, Los Angeles radio station KCRW.
